Urgent care for the whole family

Our top-quality urgent care centers are committed to providing your family access to our team of pediatric-trained and licensed doctors, nurses and technicians. Baptist urgent care centers are open seven days a week, with extended hours, and are designed to make your family's medical experience as convenient as possible. We realize that many urgent healthcare needs occur after hours, on weekends or when your primary care provider may not be available. That is why Baptist Health offers family urgent care services in proximity to your South Florida neighborhood.

Urgent care provides treatment of injuries and illnesses that are not life or limb threatening, but need immediate attention. See below our common reasons to visit our urgent care centers.

Reasons to go to Urgent Care:

  • Common cold and flu
  • Fever
  • Earache
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Diarrhea or irregular bowel movement
  • Simple bone fractures
  • Strains, sprains or contusions (deep bruises)
  • Cuts and simple wounds
  • Nonsevere asthma attacks
  • Upper respiratory infections
  • Painful or burning urination
  • Rashes and insect bites
  • Minor allergic reactions

When NOT to go to Urgent Care:

Urgent Care is NOT a replacement for your or your child's primary care provider. We do not provide emergency or major trauma care nor do we treat complex orthopedic injuries. To ensure that our Urgent Care Center is the right place for the treatment of your family's medical needs, please contact your primary medical care provider.

Q&A: Most Commonly Asked Questions

Why is Family Urgent Care important?
Baptist Urgent Care Centers are equipped to deal with a wide variety of minor emergencies. We are often able to prevent unnecessary trips to crowded and costly emergency rooms. We have the latest medical technologies and experienced doctors, nurses and Board-certified pediatric radiologists ready to treat your family's medical needs. Our nearby neighborhood locations and daily extended hours of operation make it a convenient trip for the family on weekends or at night.

We do not accept ambulances and life-threatening situations. In these instances, parents are advised to call 911 or to take their child to nearest emergency room.

Do I need an appointment to be seen?
No, you do not always need an appointment to be seen by our physicians. We realize you cannot control when your family might need medical attention. If you or your child does not have an appointment, he/she will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. We make every attempt to see your family member in a timely manner. We do prefer that, when possible, you do schedule an appointment, especially for physicals and immunizations. This allows us to minimize waiting times.

What are your insurance and payment requirements?
We participate in and accept most insurance plans and Medicaid. If this is your first visit to our Center, please bring your insurance card and picture identification with you. We accept most forms of insurance. Your co-payment and/or deductible is payable at the time of service. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express as forms of payment.
